Coding Invaders by MentorsPro, an EdTech startup that teaches people job-ready skills in the IT industry, has raised $700,000 in its pre-seed funding round from S16VC and A Partners.Data

The Pune-based company plans to use the funds to strengthen its technology and operations by offering 10 courses by the end of this year and upgrading its career center. Coding Invaders has its own career center that prepares students for job interviews, helps them upgrade their CVs, and provides 360-degree support.

Coding Invaders by MentorsPro provides job-oriented courses enabling students to jumpstart their career in the IT industry. It currently offers Data Analyst, QA automation, and Full-Stack Developer courses on its platform.

With more than 5,000 students from all over the world and trained employees from big companies like Greenpeace, Metro Cash and Carry, Procter and Gamble, Cisco, Sanofi, Johnson & Johnson, the startup became the biggest data and computer sciences online university in Europe and Russia in over a few years.

Speaking about the company and how it plans to use the funding, Roman Vyas, Co-founder of Coding Invaders, said,

“The funding round will help us to strengthen our technology and operations. Currently, Coding Invaders by MentorsPro provides three courses: Data Analyst, QA Engineer, and Full-Stack Developer. We will use the funds to have 10 courses by the end of the year and simultaneously upgrade our career center, which will help our students to prepare for job interviews and to get a new job in IT. Also, we will be constantly onboarding best mentors and IT practitioners from Indian companies that will help our students with their daily education tasks. At Coding Invaders by MentorsPro, our model centres on solving real problems rather than focusing on traditional and theoretical information, and we will be leveraging the funding to strengthen it.”

Coding Invaders is not only an education platform but a simulator, based on real-life cases and projects by Indian companies that help students to achieve their career goals. The platform also provides mentoring support to its students.

Commenting on the investment, S16VC said,

“We believe it is the right time and place to bring modern educational approaches to the Indian market. Coding Invaders by MentorsPro aims to deliver new knowledge and skills to millions of young Indians who seek careers in tech. It’s an inspiring mission and a huge market opportunity as well.”

In near future, Coding Invaders plans to grow by $1 million monthly revenue and educate 1,500 more students. The startup also plans to help one million people in finding a new job in IT through its job-ready programs.
