Technology startup Nothing has unveiled the design of Concept 1, its first product in making, which looks like a true wireless earbud. As per the company, Concept 1 “takes inspiration from a grandmother’s tobacco pipe.”
An earlier report by Bloomberg had claimed that Nothing would launch its pair of wireless headphones sometime in summer. Along with this, the company is also expected to launch more products later this year. Carl Pei said in an interview that the company is focusing on building an ecosystem of smart devices and it will start by introducing simpler products like wireless earbuds. He also mentioned that the company will introduce multiple products over the year.
OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei started his new consumer technology startup called ‘Nothing’ last month. Headquartered at London, the startup will focus on developing smart and connected consumer electronics. The company announced earlier that it has successfully secured $15 million in Series A funding from GV.
As per Carl Pei, the long term vision of the new company is building “a future where technology is so advanced and seamlessly integrated into our lives that it feels like ‘Nothing’, yet is everywhere. No screens, no dedicated devices, just barely-noticeable technology that empowers everyone to be more human.”
