OnePlus has started rolling out the first OxygenOS 11 Open Beta build for the OnePlus 8T smartphone. The Android 11-based update brings a bunch of optimisations and the February 2021 Android security patch for the OnePlus 8T, that was launched in October 2020. The beta update is available for anyone who is interested in becoming a beta tester.
The new update brings optimisations for the status bar UI display, frame rate stability in games, sunny and cloudy day animations in the weather app, and cloud service layout in the Gallery app. The update also brings the February 2021 Android security patch to the OnePlus 8T. The changelog also mentions an optimised layout of the cloud service in the Gallery for a better experience. In order to sign up for and install the OxygenOS 11 Open Beta on a OnePlus 8T smartphone, users need to download the appropriate file from the official OnePlus Community website, then open Settings > System Updates > Top Right Icon > Local Upgrade and click on the downloaded installation file.

OnePlus 8T users are advised to back up all their data before going ahead with installing OxygenOS 11 beta update.
