Bihar Board cancelled the social science paper held in session one of February 19 after it was found circulating on Whatsapp before the exam started. The BSEB in an official statement said that after the preliminary investigation, it has been found that a contractual worker Vikas Kumar at SBI Jhajha branch had clicked an image of the question paper before the exam and sent it to one of his relatives who were to appear for the matric exam. How many students had access to that image could not be found yet.

This question paper was kept with the State Bank of India, Jhajha branch for safekeeping. It was to be circulated to the students who would be appearing for the exam from Jumai centre, claims the board.

Kumar has been arrested by the Jumai area police along with two other staff members. The police informed BSEB is still investigating further in the matter. Through the investigation, it has been found that question paper number “111-0470581” from Jumai centre was the one being circulated through WhatsApp, as per the board.

A total of 8,46,504 candidates were to appear for the social science exam. The same will be re-held on March 8, as per the board.

A total of 16.8 lakh candidates have registered to appear for class 10 exam. As per Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB), the boys enrollment this year is 8,46,663 while 8,37,803 girl students have registered. The matric exam will be continued till February 24, and a total of 1,525 exam centres are arranged across 38 districts in the state.

Bihar Board 10th exams 2021: A total of 16.8 lakh candidates have registered to appear for class 10 exam. As per Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB), the boys enrollment this year is 8,46,663 while 8,37,803 girl students have registered.

The matric exam will be continued till February 24, and a total of 1,525 exam centres are arranged across 38 districts in the state. The candidates will be allowed to appear in the exam centre wearing shoes and socks, and they need to enter their respective exam hall 10 minutes before the commencement of paper, the BSEB in its guidelines mentioned.

The board will take every precautions to ensure cheating-free exams. Every exam centre will have CCTV cameras, one videographer will be appointed, section 144 within a 100-metre radius of the exam centre, among several other measures.

The students also have to follow the mandatory Covid-19 guidelines and social distancing norms. It is mandatory for candidates to bring masks and sanitisers to the exam hall.

Meanwhile, the intermediate exams for 13.5 lakh students was concluded on February 13, and the result is likely to be announced next month. “The evaluation process will take some time, but can be faster than last year as the pandemic phase is almost over. There was a little trouble last year due to lockdown restrictions, but the board announced the class 12 result in record 40 days (March 24),” a BSEB official mentioned.

Bihar Board BSEB 12th Result 2021: Amid the speculation regarding the intermediate exam result date, the Bihar School Education Board (BSEB) confirmed indianexpress.com that the class 12 result will not be announced this month.

“The evaluation process will take some time, but can be faster than last year as the pandemic phase is almost over. There was a little trouble last year due to lockdown restrictions, but the board announced the class 12 result in record 40 days on March 24,” the board official mentioned. In 2020 too, the exam was concluded on February 13.

This year, nearly 13.50 lakh students appeared for the intermediate exam, which was 12 lakh last year. Once released, the students can check the result through the websites- bsebssresult.com, biharboardonline.bihar.gov.in.

Considering the pandemic situations, the students were provided with 100 per cent choice or alternate attempts for the questions asked in the paper. A total of 10 sets of each paper were drafted as an anti-cheating measure.

The board matric (class 10) exam will begin from February 17, and like intermediate exam, all precautions will be taken to ensure cheating-free exams.
