Telugu star Varun Tej Konidela on Thursday shared the news with fans that that he has tested negative for Covid-19. He thanked everyone for their love and prayers.

Varun posted a note on Instagram that read, “Never thought a report saying ‘Negative’ would bring in so much joy to me. Yes I tested ‘Covid Negative’. Thank you very much for all the love and prayers.”

Varun tested positive for coronavirus in December and was quarantined at home. He had shared a health update on Instagram. “Earlier today I tested positive for Covid-19 with mild symptoms. I am currently quarantined at home taking the necessary precautions. I’ll be back soon. Thank you for all your love,” he wrote.

He had also uploaded a selfie on day 7 of his home quarantine.

Actor Ram Charan, who is Varun’s cousin, had also announced that he tested positive for Covid-19. The two of them had celebrated Christmas together at a party thrown by Varun’s sister and new bride Niharika Konidela.

The actor recently started preparing for his next film, F3. The film is a sequel of the comedy F2: Fun And Frustration, which was released last year. F3 also stars Tamannaah Bhatia, Venkatesh Daggubati and Mehreen Pirzadaa.

Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan Return to Chennai After Annaatthe Shoot Gets Halted

Actress Nayanthara and her filmmaker beau Vignesh Shivan were spotted at Hyderabad airport on their way back to Chennai. The actress was in Hyderabad for the shooting of Annaatthe, while Vignesh was directing his film Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kaadhal in the city.

The actress opted for a simple black tee-shirt tucked into paperbag waisted pants with rolled up cuffs. She paired the outfit with beige sandals and left her hair loose. She held her beau, director Vignesh Shivan’s hand tightly as they walked by, with the latter dressed in a designer sweatshirt paired with denims.

The couple returned after the shoot of Annaatthe was halted as 4 crew members tested positive for Covid-19. The production house released a press note that the rest of the unit, including superstar Rajinikanth, has tested negative for coronavirus.

“During routine testing at #Annaatthe shoot 4 crew members have tested positive for Covid-19. Superstar @rajinikanth and other crew members have tested negative. To ensure utmost safety #Annaatthe shooting has been postponed,” Sun Pictures said on its Twitter handle.

The shoot for the movie, stalled due to the pandemic, resumed in Hyderabad only on December 14. Apart from the government prescribed SOPs, the makers had been following a strict bio-bubble protocol and they have opted for a completely indoor-schedule to avoid taking risks during the pandemic.

Actress Meghana Raj and her newborn baby son have both tested positive for coronavirus. Her parents have tested Covid-19 positive, too.

The wife of late actor Chiranjeevi Sarja took to her Instagram page and penned a note requesting their fans not to worry after hearing the news. She assured that her son, who is lovingly called Junior Chiru by fans of the Kannada actor, is fine and keeping her occupied the whole time.

Meghana’s note on Instagram read, “Hello all, my father, mother, myself and my little son have been tested positive for COVID-19… We have informed everyone who has come in contact with us during the past few weeks about our results… I urge Chiru and my fans to not fret and assuring you guys that we are all doing fine and are currently under treatment… Junior C is fine and keeping me occupied every second. We as a family will fight this battle and will come out of it victorious.”

Chiranjeevi and Meghana’s first child was born in October this year, four months after the actor died of a cardiac arrest. Meghana spoke to the media for the first time after her husband’s death on June 7 this year, after the cradle ceremony of their son in Bengaluru last month.

“It is a new step, new form of happiness. I have a son and I am happy. I wanted to meet you all on this day and share the happiness. It is overwhelming,” she said as she pointed to how the baby resembled her late husband who once said he is a phoenix.
