CISCE Board Exams 2021: Students from Bihar happy over long gaps between papers

The last paper of Class X will be held on June 7 while class XII exams will conclude on June 16.
The board has also issued several Covid safety protocols like compulsory use of masks, sanitisers and physical distancing, in order to contain the spread of virus.
Rashmi Raj of Carmel High School said the being conducted over a period of two and a half months will help students revise the syllabus in a concentrated manner.
Sacchi Verma of St Joseph’s Convent High School said it is a relief that the board has finally released the exam schedule. “I wasn’t able to decide what to study first. Now I have planned my schedule accordingly. I have also accelerated my syllabus revision,” she said.
However some class XII students have some reservations regarding the commencement of exams from April. Abhishek Kumar said, “Our juniors and CBSE students will have their exams from May 5, which is almost a month after our first paper. In an academic session where the situation was equally difficult and different for everyone, we too deserved that extra month for preparations.”
Not just students, teachers are also happy that the exam schedule has been announced. Renuka Chaudhary, a social science teacher, said, “The shift from offline classes to online classes and back was not easy for us. Now with a fixed schedule and the already curtailed syllabus, students should be able to approach their exams in a better manner,” she said.
Parents are also optimistic about their wards after getting ample time for preparation. Neelu Singh, the mother of a class X student, said, “Exams begin in May. I am grateful that the board is giving sufficient time for preparation and revision after a difficult year. I also hope the board will be lenient during evaluation of papers.”
