Fewer vacancies advertised under UPSC CSE 2021, have not hit 1000-mark since 2016

The number of vacancies advertised under one of the Civil Services Exam (CSE) continues to remain under 1,000 for the fifth consecutive year. In the UPSC CSE notification 2021 released on Thursday, the number of vacancies is approximately 712 including those reserved for differently-abled persons. This is a drop from last year when 796 posts were advertised by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) under CSE.

Despite being one of the most awaited exams for government job aspirants, the number of vacancies continues to drop. The last time UPSC CSE had advertised for over 1,000 jobs was in 2016.

Here is a look at the number of vacancies advertised over the years under UPSC CSE –

Meanwhile, the application process for UPSC CSE 2021 is open and aspirants will be able to apply till March 24. Interested candidates need to apply within the given deadline at upsc.gov.in or upsconline.nic.in. To be eligible for the job candidates need to clear a preliminary exam followed by mains and then an interview or personality test round. The preliminary exam will be held on June 27.

UPSC CSE 2021 Notification out for 712 Vacancies, Here’s How to Apply

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the notification for the Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2021 at its official website, upsc.gov.in. The notification was scheduled to be released in February, however, it was delayed and is released on March 4. The application process has begun and candidates and will conclude on March 24 at 6 pm. Interested candidates need to apply within the given deadline at upsc.gov.in or upsconline.nic.in.

The number of vacancies to be filled through the examination is expected to be approximately 712 which include 22 vacancies reserved for Persons with Benchmark Disability Category, as per the notification. To be eligible for the job candidates need to clear a preliminary exam followed by mains and then an interview or personality test round.

The online applications can be withdrawn from March 31 to April 6 till 6 PM after which the link will be disabled. The preliminary exam will be held on June 27.

UPSC CSE 2021: Eligibility

Age: Applicant should be at least 21 years old to be eligible to apply. The upper age is capped at 32 years. Candidates belonging to the reserved category will get relaxation as per the govt norms.

Education: Applicants must hold an undergraduate level degree from a recognised university or institution.

Number of attempts: Every candidate appearing at the examination who is otherwise eligible will be permitted six attempts at the CSE. However, relaxation in the number of attempts will be available to the SC/ST/OBC and PwBD category candidates.

UPSC CSE 2021: Application fee

Candidates will have to pay a fee of Rs 100. Females and candidates belonging to SC, ST category, and persons with disabilities are exempted from paying the fee.

RRB NTPC Phase 5 Exams to Begin Tomorrow, Check Important Guidelines to Follow

About 19 lakh candidates will be appearing for the fifth phase of round one of Non-Technical Popular Categories (NTPC) exams held by the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB). A total of 1.26 crore candidates had applied for 35,208 posts offered under RRB NTPC recruitment. The exam, hence, is taking place in phases. This is the fifth phase of the tier-I exam or CBT 1 of NTPC. Candidates appearing for the exam need to follow these rules before entering the exam hall-

Admit card: Candidates need to download admit card or hall ticket from the official website. For each exam, the admit card is released about four days ahead of the exam. Candidates will be able to get the admit card from their regional RRB website. It is mandatory for candidates to carry their admit cards along with them to exam hall for verification purposes.

COVID precautions: Candidates have to wear masks and carry their own sanitisers to the exam halls. They also will have to maintain social distancing and hygiene practices inside and around the campus, as per rules. “Candidates will be allowed entry only if wearing a Face Mask and the Face mask shall be worn at all times. (except at the time of capturing photograph),” as per the official notice.

Banned items: Candidates will not be allowed to take any electronic gadgets such as mobile phones, pager, watches, bluetooth-enabled devices, calculators, metallic wears, bangles, belts, bracelets etc to the exam halls. Those carrying such things will not be allowed to enter the exam hall.

Home quarantine rule waived-off: For this phase, many candidates from near-by states were allotted exam centers in Odisha. The Ministry of health has waived-off the seven-day home quarantine rule for these candidates. However, to be eligible for the relaxation, candidates need to show their admit card and practice ‘COVID-appropriate behaviour’.

Those who clear the CBT-1 level exams will be shortlisted for the further rounds.

Tripura Teachers’ Recruitment Board releases TRBT TGT, PGT admit card: Steps to download

The Teachers’ Recruitment Board, Tripura (TRBT) has released the admit card for the recruitment exam of trained graduate teacher (TGT) and Postgraduate Teacher (PGT). Those candidates who have registered themselves for the TRBT STGT and STPGT 2020 can now download the admit card from the official website – www.trb.tripura.gov.in.

Both TRBT Recruitment 2020 exams will be conducted in a single shift from 12 PM to 2:30 PM on April 4 for STGT and April 11 for STPGT. The facility to download the TRBT TGT, PGT Recruitment 2020 admit card will be available till March 9.

TRBT TGT, PGT admit card: Steps to download

All candidates who have applied for TRBT TGT and TRBT PGT 2020 can follow these steps to download the admit card:

Step 1: Open any internet browser of your preference and log on to www.trb.tripura.gov.in

Step 2: On the homepage, you will see a hyperlink related to TRBT TGT and TRBT PGT 2020, click on it

Step 3: A new window will open, wherein you will have to login using your details including user ID and password

Step 4: Your admit card will open in a new tab

Step 5: Download and take a print of TRBT TGT / TRBT PGT admit card

All candidates must ensure that they are carrying a copy of their TRBT TGT, PGT Recruitment 2020 admit card to the exam venue. No candidate will be allowed to enter the exam venue without the hall ticket. The board has also advised all candidates to cross check the details mentioned in the TRBT TGT, PGT Recruitment 2020 admit card. In case of any discrepancies, the candidates must approach the concerned authorities at the earliest. The last date for resolving any issues regarding the admit card is March 14.

The Teachers’ Recruitment Board, Tripura’s Graduate Teacher and Post Graduate Teacher exams will be held in the traditional pen and paper mode. There will be a total of 150 questions of one mark each.

SBI CBO Recruitment 2020 Final Result Out; Here’s How to Check

The State Bank Of India (SBI) declared the final result of Circle-Based Officer (CBO) 2020 at its official website www.sbi.co.in. Selected candidates will now have to appear for the interview rounds. The SBI CBO result is available in PDF which contains roll numbers of shortlisted candidates. Step 5: Search for your roll number within the list.

The shortlisted candidates will be appointed as circle officer. They will get a remuneration between the range of Rs 23,700 to Rs 42,020. The selection of candidates is purely provisional and subjected to the fulfilment of eligibility criteria/conditions as well as the correctness of the information given by them during the registration, according to SBI.

A total of 3,850 CBO officers will be appointed through this recruitment drive. The written exam for the same was conducted on November 28.
