About BHU:
BHU, formerly names as Central Hindu University, situated in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. Established in 1916 by Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya, it is the largest residential university in Asia.
The main university campus spread over 1,300 acres (5,3 km2) was built on land donated by the hereditary ruler of Banaras, Kashi Naresh Prabhu Narayan Singh (“Kashi” is an alternate name for Banaras or Varanasi).
