JEE Main Exam 2021 Day 3 HIGHLIGHTS: Even on the second day of paper one of JEE Main 2021 February session, students continued to find the mathematics section as the toughest part of the exam. The section, claim experts had not only some tricky questions but also needed complicated calculations.

From this year, aspirants are getting several relaxations including choices in the exam and the option to appear for the JEE Main four times a year. Irrespective of the number of choices, students will be ranked based on the best score they have obtained, as per the rules. However, the JEE Advanced will be held once a year.

A total of 6.61 lakh (6,61,776) candidates have registered for paper one which will be concluded on February 26.

JEE Main Exam 2021 HIGHLIGHTS: Students have found to be the first session of the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main for BE/BTech admissions to be easy. Experts, however, claim that several odd questions were asked in exam. For instance, in chemistry, some questions were asked from lab manual. An important topic, rotation was not asked at all in physics. Experts also claim that the exam give more emphasis on the class 12 syllabus.

This is the second day of JEE Main 2021 February session. On the first day, the exam for the BArch and BPlanning was held while today the BE and BTech entrance test will take place.

This year, the National Testing Agency (NTA) had given several relaxations to JEE aspirants including choices in the exam and the option to appear for the exam four times a year. Irrespective of the number of choices, students will be ranked based on the best score they have obtained, as per the rules. The relaxations are offered as the entire academic session was disrupted due to the pandemic.

The JEE (Main) – 2021 for February (Session 1) is being held from February 23 to 26, 2021 in which a total of 6,61,776 candidates have registered. Out of this, 652627 candidates will appear for paper 1 or BE or BTech exam.

Over 45K choose to take JEE Main 2021 in Indian languages, 7.15 lakh register for exam

JEE Main 2021: A total of 45,360 students will be taking the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main in Indian languages. A total of 7,15,692 candidates have registered to appear for the BE/BTech, BArch and BPlanning entrances tests in the first session. Most of the examinees (6,70,332 students) have opted to appear for the JEE Main 2021 in the English language followed by Hindi which has 23,751 students. A total of 21,609 students will appear for the regional languages including Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.

In 2020, the Joint Admission Board (JAB) had decided to hold the JEE Main in regional languages. This is in line with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 which allows education in regional languages. Several changes have been announced in the exam this year including conducting the entrance four times a year and allowing options in the exam.

Those who clear the JEE Main will be eligible to seek admission to NITs, IIITs, and other centrally funded technical institutions (CFTIs). JEE Main is also an eligibility test for JEE Advanced, which is conducted for admission to undergraduate programs offered by the Indian Institute of Technology (IITs).
