In view of the COVID-19 pandemic, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has increased the number of examination centres for Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2021 scheduled in March, April and May. In an official notification released at www.nta.ac.in, NTA has announced three new examination centres, one in India and the other two overseas. From March onwards, JEE Main 2021 will also be held in Kargil, Ladakh, Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia and Abuja/ Lagos in Nigeria.
The NTA has decided to increase the examination centres following multiple requests received from JEE aspirants. Many students had requested NTA to set up an exam centre in these cities as travelling to far-off locations amidst the pandemic is difficult and challenging. “On the request of various candidates and keeping in view the hardships faced by the candidates due to COVID-19 epidemic, the NTA has added three cities of examination centre for JEE Main 2021 from March onwards,” NTA said.
JEE Main March 2021 Application Form:
The NTA has opened the application window for the March 2021 session of JEE Main and the registration facility will be available till tomorrow, March 6. All the candidates who will be applying for the March, April and May sessions exam 2021can opt for the aforesaid exam cities while filling the application forms.
Furthermore, the notification mentions that the students who have applied earlier for the March, April and May 2021 sessions will be able to modify their exam city preference till March 6, 2021. Candidates can also make changes to other details such as category, subjects etc till March 6.
The application process of JEE Main 2021 March session exam has already commenced. All those candidates who wish to appear in the second session can access the form in an online mode at the official site, www.jeemain.nta.nic.in till March 6.
NTA will briefly open the application window for the remaining sessions (April and May) once the examinations scheduled in the March 2021 session are over.

JEE Main Exam 2021 Day 3 HIGHLIGHTS: Even on the second day of paper one of JEE Main 2021 February session, students continued to find the mathematics section as the toughest part of the exam. The section, claim experts had not only some tricky questions but also needed complicated calculations.
From this year, aspirants are getting several relaxations including choices in the exam and the option to appear for the JEE Main four times a year. Irrespective of the number of choices, students will be ranked based on the best score they have obtained, as per the rules. However, the JEE Advanced will be held once a year.
A total of 6.61 lakh (6,61,776) candidates have registered for paper one which will be concluded on February 26.

JEE Main Exam 2021 HIGHLIGHTS: Students have found to be the first session of the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main for BE/BTech admissions to be easy. Experts, however, claim that several odd questions were asked in exam. For instance, in chemistry, some questions were asked from lab manual. An important topic, rotation was not asked at all in physics. Experts also claim that the exam give more emphasis on the class 12 syllabus.
This is the second day of JEE Main 2021 February session. On the first day, the exam for the BArch and BPlanning was held while today the BE and BTech entrance test will take place.

JEE Main 2021 February attempt: The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) 2021 will begin on February 23. The first attempt is usually held in January. However, this year, it has been deferred due to the pandemic. Further, the number of attempts offered in a year has also been doubled. The first attempt will, however, have lakhs of students appearing for the engineering entrance test.
“In the first attempt, the students will get a first-hand experience of taking an examination and will know their mistakes which they can improve while attempting for the next time,” the NTA said in an official notice. The next three sessions will be held in March, April, and May 2021.
There has been a change in the exam pattern. While the number of questions asked in each subject will go up to 30 each, students still have to attempt 25 questions per section. Thus, it is important to understand the paper pattern before appearing for the JEE Main. The exam pattern varies as per the subject one has applied for. Those who have applied for BTech will appear for paper-1, while those who registered for BArch and BPlanning will have to appear for paper 2A and 2B, respectively.

When to reach exam hall: Those candidates who wish to appear for B.Arch as well as B.Planning will have the duration of examination three-and-a-half-hours — from 3 pm to 6:30 pm. Candidates will have to report at the exam centre well in time that is two hours before commencement of the exam.
First thing to do in exam hall: As soon as a candidate enters the exam hall and take his/her seat, the first thing is to ensure is that the question paper available on the computer is as per his/her opted subject indicated in the admit card. In case, the subject of the question paper is other than his/her opted subject, the same may be brought to the notice of the Invigilator concerned.
What to bring to exam hall: It is mandatory for candidates to bring their admit cards along with them for verification purposes. One passport size photograph which is the same as the one uploaded on the online application form. Candidates also need to bring authorised photo ID cards such as PAN card, driving license, voter ID, passport, Aadhaar card etc along with them for verification. Those in the PWD category should also bring their certificates to enable the benefits. A simple transparent ballpoint pen, personal transparent water bottle, sugar tablets/fruits (like banana/apple/orange) in case the candidate is diabetic, personal hand sanitiser (50 ml) are also allowed inside the exam hall.
What can lead to result cancellation: The result of JEE (Main) – 2021 of the candidate(s) who indulge in unfair means practices will be canceled and will not be declared. Similarly, the result of those candidates who appear from the centre other than the one allotted to them or allow another candidate/person to write the exam on his behalf will be canceled.
