The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB) has announced 9,534 vacancies for the post of Sub Inspector (SI) Civil Police (Male/ Female), Platoon Commander/ Sub-Inspector Armed Police (Male) and Fire Service Second Officer (Male) on its official website at www.uppbpb.gov.in. The registration and application process will begin on April 1 and the registration window will remain open till April 30.
Out of the total 9,534 vacancies announced, 9,027 of them are for the post of Sub Inspector, 484 are for Platoon Commander, and 23 are for Fire Service Second Officer posts.
A total of 3,613 posts are for unreserved category candidates, 902 posts are reserved for EWS, 2,437 posts for OBC, 1,895 for SC, and 180 for ST candidates.
Eligibility
Candidates applying for the post of Sub Inspector in Civil Police and Platoon Commander PAC must possess a graduation degree or its equivalent from any recognised university. For the Firefighting Second Officer post, candidates must be a Science graduate
Age Limit:
As per the notification, the age limit of the candidates for the UP Police SI recruitment is 21 to 28 years, i.e. a candidate not born before July 1, 1993, and not after July 1, 2000.
Candidates of the SC, ST, OBC category of Uttar Pradesh will be given an age relaxation of 5 years as per the government rules.
Selection Process
The selection process consists of three phases. These include — a CBT-based written exam, document verification round, and physical standard exam as well as physical ability test. Two hour-long UPPRPB recruitment examination 2021 will be for a total of 400 marks. It will include 100 mark sections on General Hindi, General Knowledge and Constitution, Numerical and Mental Ability as well as Mental Aptitude Test/Logical Exam.
