West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board (WBJEEB) has started the registration process for the Common Entrance Examination. Interested candidates can visit the board’s official website wbjeeb.nic.in to apply for the same. The common entrance exam will be held on July 11 for admission to various UG courses in Engineering and Technology. The last date for the WBJEE 2021 application process is March 23. The application will be accepted online only. All students who have passed the Class 12 exam or will be appearing this year are eligible to apply.

Candidates are advised to go through the information bulletin provided by the board before filling the form. The bulletin contains detailed instructions about the application process and examination.

WBJEE 2021: Important dates

1. Commencement of application form: February 23

2. Closing of the application window: March 23

3. Availability of correction window: March 24 to 26

4. Release of WBJEE 2021 Admit card: July 6

5. Date of WBJEE 2021: July 11

How to apply for WBJEE 2021:

Step 1. Visit the official website of WBJEE Board at wbjeeb.nic.in in your browser.

Step 2. Click on the WBJEE 2021 application link when the homepage appears

Step 3. Register for the entrance exam by filling in the required details, valid mobile number and email id to generate your login credentials

Step 4. Proceed to the WBJEE application form by using the registered login id and password

Step 5. Fill the form with required documents

Step 6. Pay the application fee (Rs 500 for general candidates and Rs 400 for reserved candidate) and download the WBJEE 2021 application form

Usually the annual entrance exam is conducted in February but has been delayed due to the pandemic this year. WBJEE 2020 was conducted on February 2 and around seventy-three thousand candidates appeared in the exam. The passing rate of the entrance exam was 99 percent last year.

WBJEE 2021: The application process for the West Bengal Joint Entrance Exam (WBJEE 2021) will begin from February 23. The interested candidates can apply for the engineering entrance test through the website- wbjeeb.nic.in. The exam is scheduled to be conducted on July 11.

The entrance will consist of two papers — paper-I on maths, and paper-II on physics and chemistry.

Eligibility criteria

Educational qualification: Candidate must have passed class 12 or equivalent exam with physics and mathematics as subjects. They should have chemistry/ biotechnology/ biology/ computer science/ computer application as compulsory subjects with individual pass marks (in both theory and practical wherever applicable) in all the three subjects. They should score at least 45 per cent marks in the above subjects. There is 5 per cent relaxation for the reserved category students.

Step 1: Visit the official website – wbjeeb.nic.in

Step 2: On the homepage, click ‘apply’ under new candidates log-in

Step 3: After filling-in necessary information for registration go to the homepage and apply under registered candidates log-in

Step 4: Fill application form, upload signature and photograph

Step 5: Pay the application fee

Step 6: Download confirmation page.

Documents required

Candidates need to keep the required documents ready before filling the form –

Aadhaar card, student identity card, voter card/passport number, bank account, credit/debit card/ internet banking details, bank account details, Email id, phone number (and the phone as OTP will be spent on the number candidates register), scanned photograph and signature of the candidate.

The exam is conducted for admission to undergraduate courses in engineering and technology, pharmacy and architecture courses in universities, government colleges and self-financed institutes in the state for the academic session of 2021-22.
