UrbanCompany, 1mg Bag Young Turks Award; Zerodha, Swiggy Biggest ‘Disruptors’: IBLA 2021

In what the jury said was an extremely tough choice, UrbanCompany was given the Young Turk of the Year award with 1mg bagging Young Turks Startup of the year award. Along with this, Zerodha and Swiggy won awards in the Disruptor of the Year category at India Business Leaders Awards 2021.
UrbanCompany bagged the award in the category of Young Turk of the Year which had PhonePe, Eruditus, Razorpay and Postman as the remaining nominations. On the other hand, 1mg was judged in the winner in the Young Turks Start-up of the Year category that had NinjaCart, Cars24 and VernacularAI as competitors.
Swiggy was judged Disruptor of the Year award that had Zerodha, ZestMoney and PharmEasy as the nominations. Zerodha was given the special jury award in the same category.
The India Business Leadership Awards is a platform to recognise industry disruptors and leaders, across various industries, for those creating history with their exceptional leadership skills, while keeping a keen eye on India’s future.
This year, keeping in mind the mandates of social distancing, IBLA broke away from the confines of walled venues. IBLA was celebrated as a week-long event culminating with the awards presentation.

The jury this year consisted of former National Development Bank President, KV Kamath, Sanjiv Goenka, Chairman of RPSG Group, Nisaba Godrej, CMD of GCPL, Rajesh Gopinathan, CEO and MD of TCS, Zarin Daruwala, CEO India of Standard Chartered, Dinesh Khara, Chairman of SBI.
