BrowserStack Acquires Professional Upskilling Platform GreyAtom

BrowserStack, the world’s leading web and mobile app testing platform has acquired GreyAtom, an EdTech startup specializing in industry-relevant programs in emerging technologies. Though, the company did not disclose much about the deal.

Co-founded by Shweta Doshi, Mayuresh Shilotri and Mitul D Thakkar in 2017, GreyAtom provides online and offline education to learners, especially working professionals, to pivot careers in emerging technologies like machine learning, artificial intelligence (AI), data science and full-stack engineering through an end to end learning and career preparation process.

Announcing about the acquisition, Co-founder and CEO of GreyAtom, Mitul D Thakkar, said, “We were acqui-hired by Browserstack late last year. It has been a super thrilling journey with GreyAtom where we have enabled 50K+ students globally to upskill and re skill in their career journey. We have seen 1000+ Transitions with amazing outcomes.”
 

He further added, “We were always passionate about student outcomes and I am truly proud of the culture we had built. A huge shout out to our mentors, academia, and industry partners who have made all the outcomes possible. Thank you so much, guys!”

GreyAtom has enabled more than 50,000 learners to reskill and upskill their tech knowledge, with 87 percent of them making a career pivot.

The Mumbai-based GreyAtom has tie-ups with the industry which enables them to offer real problems and datasets to work on and find solutions. The company launched its front end engineering programme with the income share agreement model in 2019.

BrowserStack, started in 2011, is a privately held company backed by Accel with offices in San Francisco, Mumbai, and Dublin. The platform provides instant access to more than 3,000 real mobile devices and browsers on a highly reliable cloud infrastructure that effortlessly scales as testing grows.

The company’s mission is to empower developers to build amazing experiences. It helps Microsoft, Twitter, Barclays, Expedia and over 25,000 customers deliver quality software at speed by moving testing to the cloud.

In July 2020, BrowserStack had acquired Percy, a San-Francisco-based visual testing software provider.
